Complete onboarding

Sign in, choose your display name and home timezone, and set Anchor’s quiet period.
Connecting Pushover during onboarding is optional.
You can connect it later from Settings, and Anchor encrypts the credentials before storing them.

Anchor’s quiet period is a do-not-deliver window: Routine and Important notifications wait until it ends. This differs from Pushover quiet hours, which can deliver a notification immediately but silently. See Anchor and Pushover quiet periods before deciding whether to enable both.

Without Pushover credentials, you can explore the application, preview schedules, and save paused Automation drafts.
Connect both credentials before activating an Automation, using Trigger now, or creating a Notification through the API.

Use Send test notification in Settings to verify the connection.
A successful test proves that Pushover accepted the credentials, but testing is recommended rather than required and does not create a tracked Notification.

Before relying on audible Important or Emergency alerts, follow the Pushover sound setup. iPhone Critical Alerts and their volume are configured separately and are not enabled by default.

Create an automation

Open Automations, select New automation, then provide:

• a title and notification message;
• an optional source URL;
• a response requirement;
• a schedule in your home timezone;
• delivery timing and escalation behavior;
• allowed response actions.

If Pushover is not connected, Anchor saves the Automation as a paused draft.
After connecting Pushover, activate the Automation and use Trigger now when you want to test the complete notification flow without waiting for the schedule.

When another authenticated system decides when to notify, give it a key with
notifications:create and have it send a complete notification to
POST /v1/notifications.

Follow the notification

Open Notifications to see what needs attention, review history, and use the available actions. The link in a Pushover notification opens a restricted response page that does not require a browser session.
